Food excellent but orders were bought to the table on top of each other, should be spaced out better.

We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. No waiting. The food came out quickly and was delicious as always.

I love tokyo kitchen. Best lunch special. Great value and really nice relaxed atmosphere.

Food in our group of 5 was disappointing, quite dry with not a lot of sauce and very small mains.

The only down side was that once the restaurant got busy it also became very noisy. It may have been our location in the restaurant, but regardless, for a small group of 3 it was a downer on our dining experience.

Popular and busy restaurant. Good range of Japanese food, I would recommend the gyoza. Booking in advance will ensure you get a table, particularly around peak times.

I have been here twice and both times the food was great. Fresh, tasty and full of flavour. The service was efficient and friendly. Price was reasonable. We spent $120 for 4 people with wine. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The food and service are great. We did, however, prefer it when they served the red rice which is now not available on the menu.

Tokyo Kitchen is fantastic. The staff are always friendly and fast to take your order. The food is quick and the sushi Platter is amazing.

Food - fabulous. Wine list - dreadful. Bottle of pinot gris we ordered was warm and we were given ice to put into our wine.

Excellent staff and food. Tried the Salmon Tataki as something new and was greatly impressed. The quantities weren’t over the top and allowed for variation in our meal without filling up on just one dish. Lovely place, would recommend.

Beautiful fresh sashimi and sushi. Cooked dishes were delicious especially the eggplant and mushrooms stir fry. Beef and chicken cooked dishes were very tasty and generous.

We enjoyed great food and service and have returned a few times already . I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you really like Japanese food.

We loved our dinner and experience at Tokyo Kitchen Sakae, however they had not received our online booking. Fortunately they were able to provide us with a table.

Great food, fresh and a bit different. Authentic service. Really enjoyed. Busy for a Wed night which is always a good sign. Had gyoza, salmon, nigiri and sushi.

Had dinner here last night,Service was not great, ppl just walked past us and we had to wave to get any attention. food was pretty average too

The food was good as always but the service was absolutely appalling tonight. Our food was sent to the wrong table and we waited for so long only to realise that none of the staff bothered to find out what happened to our food till I asked and chased for our meals. There was little apology or acknowledgement. While the kitchen has always been consistent (which is why we returned and stayed), something needs to be done with your wait staff. So many staff but all just trotting along making mistakes (I saw a staff apologising to a customer).

Service was slow, not very organised, beer being poured from different taps into other customers glasses which looked suss, all in all pretty average experience.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! We have been coming here for years... it has recently changed hands and it has no where near the excellent service, food presentation or quality of food available. We are pretty easy to please but the size of the servings have diminished and the quantity of food is pretty ordinary... we bought along 4 new people but they won’t be coming back and either will we till we hear it is back to the standard it used to be. Over charging for poor quality food...

Service was really slow (took us 15 mins to get a menu and drink) however the food was great. Maybe they had an off night? We will be back.

This restaurant does not serve authentic Japanese food. We were very disappointed with our meals and would never return. The tuna carpaccio was the worst we have tasted. It was basically tuna sashimi in an awful tasting sauce which had no semblance to any form of tuna carpaccio! The yakiniku beef and unagi were very salty.

Great food, the staff are lovely, BYO wine which is good. Overall a great experience for all of us, a table of five, everyone enjoyed the evening. Xx

Love Tokyo Kichen Sakae in Brighton. Very fresh and tasty Japanese food. It’s a simple, homely atmosphere. The tempura is very light and crisp. This has become our favourite destination.

Service was excellent, the main food a bit bland. The spider and dragon sushi and Taco very unusual and delicious not the normal sushi bar at all.

A very nice local Japanese restaurant. Food is delicious and some interesting different food on the menu including amazing salmon tacos ( my husbands favorite). Staff are very obliging and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Good service, nice food. Pork Belly Bao lacking flavor (no tangy Japanese mayo!) but pork dumplings and veg pancake were delicious. Would return. Reasonable prices.

The food was excellent, the service was very quick and responsive. The prices were reasonable. The only area for improvement is the desert menu. We really enjoyed our evening.

Best Japanese I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend this restaurant. Good service and standard of food is great. The Japanese pancake was unbelievable.

Another excellent dinner at Tokyo Kitchen Sakae - fabulous food at a very reasonable price. Service was also excellent - being a Sunday night it wasn't quite as busy as it would normally be on a Saturday.

Great Service, Great Food and a relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful for a family meal, my kids really enjoyed the food. We will be back for sure.

We always love our dinners at Tokyo Kitchen Sakae. Always such delicious sushi and sashimi and beautifully presented. The sharing is caring platter is the best!
