Fantastic, authentic Vietnamese restaurant with great food together with good service and great ambiance makes this place definatley a neighbourhood gem, don't miss out on experiencing this place for yourself.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant - delicious food with the freshest ingredients and staff who are friendly and smile easily. We had the vegetarian rice paper roll, whole fried fish, mango and chicken salad and the sizzling chicken which was a new dish. Wonderful combination of flavours that were presented beautifully. It is our second time dining there and we will definitely be back.
We were quite disappointed with our experience. We had visited Ms Vy's restaurants and cooking schools in Hoi An (which are superb) and were keen to try her Melbourne venture. Negatives: Several signature dishes were unavailable, with one even making it onto our bill at the end of the night. The prices are very expensive for the serving sizes. It's very noisy and parking is non-existent. Positives: The staff are friendly and the food we received was ok
Service was great and food very good, although not cheap. Parking a nightmare and would put me off going again. We did drive all the way from Berwick which unfortunately took us 1.5 hrs to get there mid week. But I would recommend it to anyone within walking distance.
Good food and service, disappointing that they seemed to be out of a few dishes we wanted to try. Also the space was a bit cold for us
Food was fresh. Menu innovative . Service was a big let down, being a Tuesday evening and restaurant half full . Worth a second visit
Great food as always. Classical Vietnamese food similar to what you actually get in Vietnam. Service is efficient and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual.
Heavenly!! Deeeliciously fresh and flavoursome dishes; we loved the salads and the shrimp & pork dumplings! The service was friendly and the decir was beautiful. We will definitely be back for more if this divine experience .
Great food. Maybe a tad overpriced and some waitstaff seemed rather inexperienced, but overall service was good and the main man attentive. Would go again.
We had eaten here before and when friends returned from Vietnam we thought it ideal to take them. Food is so fresh and staff fabulous!
Excellent food in a pleasant environment. Probably the best Vietnamese food outside Vietnam. The only negative would be the volume of the music could be a little lower.
Lovely decor and friendly staff. More limited menu choice, but all dishes were delicious and beautifully presented - quality over quantity. Will definitely be back again!
Amazingly brilliant dining experience. You could be sitting in Hoi An the food is so authentic. The staff are awesome. Cannot wait to get back for more :-)
Delicious, authentic and fresh food in a friendly and colourful setting. Good menu choices. Quick service. Well priced. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.
Its's great food, friendly and fairly efficient service. Good value for money. Some meals could do with a bit more kick in the spice/chilli area.
The best Vietnamese restuarant I have been to since I went to Hoi An. I would recommend, but you do need to book on their busy nights
The food was delicious. Quite fresh and reminded me of my experience at Mrs Vy's restaurants in Hoi An. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would certainly return again.
Delicious food - will def be back to try more dishes! The black pepper garlic pork belly and prawns were was great- loved the combo of flavours. Lovely atmosphere!
The food was different to what we were used to in Vietnamese food but was very tasty. Service and ambience was ok but for the price that we paid , which was maybe 3 times what we would normally pay for Vietnamese food, the standard of service and size of the servings combined with the venue was to be desired. Enjoyed our meal, beautifully prepared and presented, but don't think we would be going there again.
Amazing food we had the stuffed calamari was as delicious as the one we had at Miss Vy in Hoian. Only negative- service a little slow.
The restaurant atmosphere is good though the sitting arrangements are a little bit cramped as tables and chairs are placed in a maximum capacity. Toilet is clean. Once you've placed your order, it can take a while to be served but the food is so tasty and it's worth waiting for. We'll go back again.
Always a lovely dinner, delicious food although sometimes the staff are a little inattentive. Great place for catching up with friends or easy/relaxed date night
We had a tremendous time last night at the House of Hoian, very welcoming people, food absolutely delicious 😋 in a lovely place! Perfect 👌
Great service and great food. Although it was a little westernised for my Viet friend, I thought it was really yummy. A bit expensive, though.
Delicious food, warm and friendly service, and with a bonus of being a BYO restaurant which is rare to find. , Will defiantly we back!
Excellent Food and service for 6 guests- great wines and extremely friendly, kind and accomodating staff , who were able to support the vegan Diner create options from the menu
Food was nice enough, good flavours, but we felt it was a bit pricey for portion sizes especially when there are other Vietnamese places around that are far cheaper and provide just as flavoursome food. Menus were well worn and tattered, which for the prices being charged is not really good enough, and the menu seemed designed for summertime - it even stated on some dishes that they were good summer dishes, yet it is the end of winter! Perhaps a more seasonal approach would be better..
A friendly welcome upon arrival. Just deliciously mouth water cuisine. Unfortunately a lack luster wine list . Service was prompt and courteous. Happy to return for the great food any time....
We booked for a table of 6. We had just got back from Vietnam 2 weeks prior. House of Hoi Zan had good traditional Vietnamese food, however it was overpriced. Service was slow but good was prompt.
Scrumptious food good service and great vibe. Made for a terrific evening of exciting tastes and flavours. Good value as the prices were not over the top. Going back soon
Delicious food, great ambiance and fabulous service! This restaurant is one of our favorites. If it is in season, you must try the Green Mango salad, its the best.
Food good staff nice room a bit noisy . We just been to Vietnam n wanted to try House of Hoian. Food was delicious 😋
