Hello Auntie - Marrickville

We really enjoyed our dinner at Hello Auntie. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, REALLY tasty food and really nice staff. Can't wait to go back again to try more from the menu!

we had the rice paper and the pancake to share with four people. There was plenty of food to go around. The food was delicious - definitely our favourite place to go for Viet food

Great place - always helpful and friendly, attentive service. Delicious food - Asian with a nod to Italy in some dishes, such as the wontons. I love the Xian Bao....

Food was really great - recommend the DIY rice paper rolls. Service friendly, wine list a little limited but still a good selection of options available by the bottle. Have visited multiple times.

Food was great but service was extremely slow. We waited over 20mins for cocktails and a bottle of water. Service really let me down as it's usually fantastic

Hello Auntie has the best pho in Marrickville and friendly service. My only complaint is that it can be quite noisy so not recommended for a date or where you need to have lengthy conversation .

Always delicious food especially the omelettes and prawn pancakes. Waitress was very friendly and good at recommending dishes. Catered well for a food allergy. Friendly staff.

Friendly and professional staff. Nice decor. Acoustics are bad, it's so noisy that it's even difficult to place your order and not easy to have a conversation. The food is great but very pricey.

Amazing pho, easily one of the best I've had had in Australia from someone who has eating this dish all my life. The soup base was super tasty and clean (read: no MSG), the beef used was high quality and it was better not only in taste but also in value compared to the more traditional Vietnamese restaurants of Marrickville. The service was very good and interior was modern and sleek. Highly recommended.

Excellent service, by friendly staff in a pleasantly set out decor. The food is well presented and very very tasty. I would rwcommend it to anyone who loves food. We travel from Naremburn to eat there.

Smaller plates were excellent, particularly the poke. Short but interesting wine list, service a bit patchy, probably due to the Saturday night crowds. I'd recommend it to others to try, but won't be back in the next year or so.

From the moment we walked in, the service at hello auntie was faultless. We hadn't been before and they took the time to explain the menu and made suggestions according to our requirements, vegan and low carb - not easy to accommodate! The food was absolutely devine and so affordable. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Great food and wait staff! Restaurant was pretty quiet on this night so the usual ambience was lacking but the cocktails made up for that!

I've had lots of great meals at Hello Auntie but this wasn't the best unfortunately. We were 15 minutes late which I completely accept responsibility for but were majorly rushed the whole time and then lied to when we tried to order more food (please don't say the chef has gone home at 9.15pm, one of our partners is a chef and well aware of the late hours worked...a simple 'the kitchen has closed' would have sufficed). The tiny pork belly portion at $33 was a joke. In short, I would not recommend making a 8.30pm booking on a Sunday as apparently they don't have the kitchen staff to serve you. And don't order the pork belly if you're hungry.

Great food! Service took a little long but waitress was very apologetic and gave us free coconut juices while we waited for our table. Vegan pho is a must!!!

Worth trying, but the service is a bit hit and miss i.e. they forget to come back. The mock duck salad was delicious, the tofu starter nice and the wonton main a bit so so. I think if you lived nearby you would be pretty happy. Sadly we were sat in the hallway part which was very noisy.

Great food at an affordable price! Vietnamese Restaurant with a modern this, their big omelette is great. Great atmosphere and we would definitely return again!

Really disappointed with the food this time. We came with friends after raving about how good the food was only to find many of our favourites are no longer on the menu. Our friends were scratching their heads as to why we thought it was good & we couldn't argue - it has really gone downhill in the last 6 months unfortunately & is now overpriced fast food. We will not be back.

It was a marvelous meal with a wide range flavours and textures. The service was attentive but not overwhelming and complimented the food. The wine was very tasty

Food was amazing as it was last time. My only complaint would be that it was a little slow to arrive, especially as we were the first to order for the day but perhaps they were still setting up. Worth the wait anyway!

Was a bit disappointed with the experience. Service was very slow and our party were not particularly taken with the food. For my money, I would go to one of the vietnamese places that has been along this strip for some time.

Most of the food was innovative and lovely ... but the plates were far too small for the cost and the service was poor. Our pork belly plate had about 10 small cubes of pork for over $30. After the first dish there was quite a delay for the remainder. We had to ask staff twice for both the wine order and water. We left a bit hungry rather than persevere and won't return.

Gorgeous good. Excellent service. Friendly happy waitstaff. Great menu and fun vibe! We had a really wonderful night out with a large group, including a couple of kids

The food was delicious, whilst looking familiar ( in a Vietnamese fashion), there is a twist which makes all the difference and even the crispy skin chicken is a real joy. Lovely friendly service. Highly recommend. Food may take a little longer to appear but worth every mouthful.

I took two girlfriends who have not been there and they loved the restaurant and food so much they were bringing their families back there in the next few weeks.

Great service and very helpful when choosing meals for the first time. The waiting time for the food was great and will go back again.

Had to wait a few minutes even with reservations. Overall good was food. Bit pricy but the service is good. Don't expect traditional Viet food as most of the dishes are fusion.

It was delicious as always! Really enjoyed the chilli crab and the BBQ eggplant. Wish it was BYO more nights of the week however. My friends enjoyed everything!

The atmosphere in Hello Auntie is like no other, very inviting and electric. The staff are polite and helpful, answering any questions you may have about the menu or which cocktail is the best. The food is devine with a large menu to choose from. Definitely would go again and recommend to others.

The food was lovely - fresh and modern! The service was a bit haphazard. I would still recommend it though and we are looking forward to returning!

Nice ambience. Love the decor. However service could be better. We have to ask for water, and then forgetting stuff when we asked for it and then we have to ask again. The restaurant wasn't that busy at that time. Food is pretty ordinary, I wouldn't say they are amazing for the prices that you pay.

Excellent, tasty & authentic food. The vegetarian crepe was sooo good. Cocktails worth the $ too & ginger cider recommended. We'll be back. Gets busy after 7pm.

The food was delicious and quite different. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It took a while to get our first drinks but it was very busy. We will definitely go back and try other dishes on the menu. We enjoyed the experience very much.

Amazing tasty modern vietnamese food in a funky space. Staff very attentive and knowledgeable. Banh xeo (crispy pancake) is a must try and the doughnuts were a delicious way to finish the meal.
