The staff were attentive and helpful and the service generally was excellent. The food was fresh, tasty, well presented and reasonable priced. This is my 3rd visit to Harbour Lights Cafe and, so far, the experience was consistently excellent and I will continue to go back.
Easy to book online. Great attention on arrival. Fantastic service at tabke and deliscious breakfasts. We were a tabke of 4 . Had 4 different meals and all were delish.
Staff very friendly and efficient. Our food order was taken quite quickly and drinks arrived promptly. We had to wait awhile for our food to arrive but it was cooked to order so no complaints. The food was very good. The restaurant was very busy which is a good sign.
Good food, very friendly staff, great location for breakfast with a view of the harbour. Had the eggs Benedict - small serve but very tasty.
The staff were friendly and courteous from the moment I walked in. The environment was pleasant and the food was great too! Excellent place for a casual meeting with friends!
Great food and great customer service. Good location over looking the water. Nice place to stop after checking out the salamanca markets on a Saturday morning.
The staff were very friendly and professional. The food was tasty and we enjoyed our lunch very much. Would recommend to anyone for a nice meal.
Excellent food and friendly service. The menu had options to suit all of us, and we have very different tastes. Great to see Tassie ciders and wines on the menu
Service was excellent. Professional; attentive and discreet. The food was beautiful ; however just a touch too indulgent with the Oil. Although this (the oil) is a very personal consideration. Otherwise a Great Experience of Dining. Miguel Alejandro/ Spain
Friendly staff, lovely food. Great views when you get a table near the window, may be hard to get up spiral stairs if you have mobility issues, otherwise it is much less crowded upstairs.
Great service and food was delicious, especially the risotto. Great location and easy to access. Perfect choice as our only night in Hobart whilst visiting from Melbourne.
Great night out with extended family. the cafe was full. Food piping hot. Delicious. Kids loved their meals. Excellent service. Great location right on the waterfront. Will definitely go back.
The food was fantastic, perfect amount of time between entree and mains too. The service was excellent, the waiter was looking after a lot of tables by himself and managed it with ease!
Lovely little cafe, great atmosphere, nice music, lovely food. Would love to go there again. Really enjoyed the pizzas and they made a delicious chai latte
Brilliant place. Staff were under extreme pressure with numbers and all maintained their composure and friendly nature. Food as always was simply great. Booking for six and accommodating and elderly ladies upstairs was beyond normal service.
Despite a packed cafe, we were all looked after with good food and drinks. The reminder emails were a nice touch and very much appreciated.
Staff were attentive and polite. All meals and drinks were great in our group of 8 people. Thoroughly enjoyed eating there and will return and recommend it to others.
Great food and good wine, all at very reasonable prices. Service was good except for the long wait between entree and the main. Definitely recommended
Lovely relaxing water front restaurant. Welcoming staff with prompt service. Great menu with the perfect pizza on offer. Would visit restaurant again. Thank you chef.
Lovely staff, great food and location, excellent value. We had breakfast but the lunch menu looked amazing as well. Ran out of time to fit another visit in!
Celebrated Mother's Day Brunch, beautiful little cafe, fresh tasty food and good coffee. Seven of us and we were all happy with our selections. Busy morning but staff was attentive. Would definitely recommend!!
food was exceptionally good. we have been there for breakfast and liked it very much. service was very friendly. setting was nice. restaurant was clean.
Great food great service hate the stairs will go back but only downstairs! Heard others complaining about stairs too They feel very wobbly and unsafe.
Waiting over 45 minutes from entree to the mains arrive is way too long. Although the food is very tasty and the service friendly. But too long between courses.
Great location overlooking the Hobart waterfront. Delicious breakfast. Very glad we booked as it was full on a Sunday morning. We would definitely visit again.
Seriously cannot rate this high enough We had a Google and found this place as we were staying at the wool store. I've NeVER had such fresh produce! The mushrooms were to die for! Customer service was also second to none Thanks!
Really nice food and a clean dining experience. Family friendly.
we arrived on time and found our table was reserved and waiting for us. The staff were very friendly, well groomed and knew their menu. The food was excellent and generous servings. As requested we were finished and ready to leave by our requested time.
The food was absolutely beautiful and the best coffee in Hobart i have eaten out alot since i have been here i highly recommend this place
Excellent food, there were 5 of us and all meals were exceptional as was the service. Reasonably priced as well and no problems when ordering gluten free meals. Would definitely recommend.
Remains one of Hobart's friendliest and best value eateries, always a pleasure to see Robbie and the team, the service is terrific and the food great.
I went to Harbour Lights Cafe for dinner. The menu was fantastic and choosing what to have was the toughest part - I settled on one of the specials: a prawn linguini, and I wasn't disappointed. Harbour Lights Cafe is a great spot: excellent service, central location, and delicious food.
Good food and service. View from top was very calming too. Highly recommended to try dinner there. Attention to detail and welcoming attitude from staff . Thanks.
The food was fantastic and value for money! Service was superb, attentive and friendly!:D strongly recommend everyone to go try! A pity they dont have scallop pies for dinner though:(
Cute little restaurant right on the waterfront. You could easily miss it if you're not looking though. Portion size and quality of the food was good. Atmosphere was great.

We had a great breakfast at a lovely location close to the MONA ferry wharf. The service was a bit slow but the staff were friendly.
Location, view, service and food; all top shelf. We arrived in town Friday afternoon, needing somewhere nice to eat, a quick scan of TA, and chose Harbour Lights. Everything about our dining experience was terrific, thanks.
Food was absolutely amazing! Salmon eggs... WOW. Perfect spot for breakast and the view looking over the docks was amazing. Would definitely reccomend this cafe. The staff were also amazing. Thanks so much!
Service was good, food was good, had pizza and the calzone. A few vegetarian options but could do with some more. Nice view from upstairs seating by the window.
Overall a positive experience, food was timely and service prompt. Dishes were okay for the price. A little messy to eat some of the dishes.
We had a lovely meal (scallop pie and all day breakfast) also had one of the prime upstairs tables in the window. Wonderful birthday treat. Service was wonderful.
A very good menu and prompt service from the staff but the food was plain and lacked flare. You could cook the same at home.
