We've just returned from our 5th trip to Japan and really wanted a final taste. This place was not authentic Japanese food that tasted much crappier than expected. Terrible service and goodluck getting a park.

When we got there, we were really excited. We ordered our food, still really excited. Then started to notice tables who sat down after us and ordered after us were getting their food first. Strange we thought. Our table was booked from 7:30-9:00. We did our first order at 7:39. The Bao from our first order did not arrive until 9:10 after we asked the staff 4 times about it. There were so many plates of Bao that went out within 90mins. None of them for us. A table that got there at 8:00pm, left at 9pm. I heard the woman on that table, decline another plate of food saying, “We’ve received everything we’ve ordered”, while my partner and I sat there hungry and waiting for our first order still. I understand a restaurant, especially all you can eat, can be busy, having worked in some myself. But after the great reviews online and recommendations from friends, we left very disappointed. We left without trying eating out order. We told the waiter/bartender to cancel the food we haven’t received, as at this point it was 9:30 and we did not want to stay any longer due to the 90min rule Please have more wait staff on.

Very good value for money $32.80 for all you can eat. Service was a bit slow and many orders were missed ie. I ordered a dish with the initial order and it only came 2 hours later after prompting wait staff 2-3 times. The wait staff were cordial but evidently not enough. Quality of food was very good though.

The food is good, but service is not good at all! We had a birthday party there, and ask if we can have 2 hours dining time, because we got a cake to share, they said no! 90 minutes is just enough for food, my friend is still going with the last dumpling, the waitress took his chopsticks away from his hand! Because 90 minutes is nearly finish. Then leave us 3 minutes for the cake. Most of us couldn't finish the cake, as they asked us to leave when we just reach 90 minutes. This place is alright for small group, not suitable for parties.

The brunch menu was very limited, and there weren’t many variety. The drinks weren’t really good as well, especially the turmeric latte. But the fried chicken waffle was good.

Food was mostly good however some of the dishes had a curry flavour to them which was surprising given it’s Japanese. We also were over charged in the end and in hindsight I should have taken the receipt as not only did they accidentally charge us an adult price for my child which they only refunded us $10 even though there was a 15% public holiday surcharge. And we were also charged another $23 for food wastage which we thought was not fair given the udon noodles were not what we were expecting so unfortunately could not eat it all. So whilst it appears good value for money, be wary of the additional charges. Thanks

Fantastic food but bad service. A quiet day at the restaurant. Serving staff were on their phones not paying attention to diners. Had to get the attention of the chef to alert the serving staff. The food and the drinks served were of high quality. The restaurant atmosphere is very trendy and cosy.

After seeing the reviews online we were quite excited to have dinner here last night. However I am never coming back and I can’t recomend this to anyone. We waited over 45 minutes for our food, allthewhile watching later-arriving and reordering patrons receive their food promptly. Our order includes the same types of food as the other tables. We asked for water and it never came. We expressed our concern about the long wait to the waitress and she mumbled a half-assed response saying the food was being prepared but that she would check. She still didn’t bring any water. We finally got our order receipt which had an 814 pm time stamp. The table beside us, who arrived after us, had their time stamp at 737. So they clearly forgot our order. I can understand this happening every now and then in any restaurant but the lack of acknowledgement was really poor. The restaurant was about 65% full as well. Throughout the night the service continued to be terrible - forgetting water requests repeatedly, waiting for me to clear the used plates. I would recommend staff here clear tables before trying to dump more food on the table. When I say dump I literally mean dump. Not place. Dump. They also told me they would be taking our soy sauce away and asked us to share with the other table. We didn’t use soy sauce at all which was fine but why not stock the diner better? It cheapened the experience. I got the impression that the staff working there hated their jobs. It certainly felt that way from the way they served tables. I felt bad for them cause it didn’t look like a fun place to work. When it came to food quality I wasn’t impressed. Yeah, our forgotten table was starving but the food didn’t taste any better than a 1.5 out of 5. The sushi which was listed as a must try had very mushy, unseasoned rice. The tempura had dense fish and chips batter. Tempura should have a light textured batter. I literally thought I was eating a potato cake from the fish and chips store, the only difference being that it was a sweet potato. There was also a chicken dish served with half a bowl of fried shallots... who in their right mind would eat that amount of shallots I have no idea. Their menu says they take food wastage seriously and that incurs a fine. I think this is good. But maybe try reducing the shallots so you don’t have to fine yourself. I can’t remember many of the other dishes we tried because nothing really amazed me and I am trying to block this place out of my memory. Anyway, good luck to the staff here. I don’t see many lasting in what seems like a really stressful workplace.

Great food and place but at the end still try to sting you on dessert! Thought it was part of the buffet but it’s all and no one even told us and end up paying $4 for a spoonful of ice cream! What a way to ruin a good night

Great food, friendly staff. All you can eat style. What more could you ask for?! Dessert isn’t included in the all-you-can-eat price but the red bean ice cream is really good, if you still have room! The only tiny issue is they can’t modify the menu items (eg omit ingredients) for food intolerance. But we were able to work around this. Booking recommended.
