Had a great atmosphere and very friendly team, food was great and the individual BBQ on each table a great place for a family get together

Great food, authenticaally Korean, excellent service, what more do you need? the Sweet Mahn Doo entree and Beef Bulgogi main, finishing with an Ice Cream tasting plate.....superb (especially the sesame-flavoured item!)

Food was excellent. Friends really enjoyed relaxed vibe of the place. Staff were very helpful. Catered for my friends allergies very well. We really enjoyed the night. Free parking recommendation on the website would be useful.

An incredible feed. Tastiest food on the peninsula, wonderful staff great atmosphere. Can not speak highly enough. A dining experience well above our expectations upon arrival.

Set menu should include rice - ordering sides is a bit annoying if choosing set menus. But otherwise the BBQ meat dishes were pretty delicious!

We thoroughly enjoyed the food and were very impressed by the great service and lively atmosphere. It was really busy on a Monday night which is pretty rare.

really yummy food, could be a bit more generous with the banchan, good service, we had a combination of bbq, kitchen and entrees with drinks for about $40 a head. left full.

We had a delicious meal and really outstanding service at Geonbae. The prices were reasonable for the amount and variety of food and the five of us, including one vegetarian were all very happy with our choices.

The staff were most attentive and the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. We opted for the banquet which was mainly meat so next time I would try things from the main menu. A larger selection of wines would make the dining experience better.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Korean beer was also a highlight. A very enjoyable night and can be highly recommended. A positive for Frankston and the community.

Everything was lovely except we ordered the whole fried Korean chicken, there was only one leg. If advertised as a whole chicken, all the parts should be served.

We had a great night. Food and service was good. First time we have eaten Korean. We really enjoyed it. Loved the BBQ at the table.

Great food. Service was ok. A few growing pains but it's nice to see something different in Frankston. Our first course was forgotten about and then I was told they have no order to the way the meals come out they come out when they are ready which I find a little hard to believe exspecialy as we where asked if we wanted desert after the mains but before we even had the entree little confused... But ok might come back when they settle in a bit more.

Good food well done can be a little expensive for Korean but at least one in south east and limited menu but what they have is done well.

Something different and enjoyable but will not be rushing back too quickly. Friendly service and drinks at reasonable prices made it an enjoyable night out.

Second visit. Was not overly impressed with the actual BBQ meals. Next time will stick to the Korean fried chicken, which is fantastic. Service was quite good.

The food was delicious. The atmosphere wonderful. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. A wonderful experience. We will be back soon with friends and family.

Waitress did not understand what we ordered an we got more food then we needed and was obviously charged more. We did nit have one persons meal brought out till we nearly finished our meals. We had to ask for rice for the whole table as rice was not brought out all at same time.

Service was good. Staff were friendly. The sides didn't come out with the bbq meats. We asked for water and didn't receive it. Drinks that we'd finished were cleared and we weren't asked for more drinks.

The food was really nice, however the staff are lacking in customer service skills. The restaurant decor is great and is in a good location.

A fun and filing dining experience. My family had never had Korean BBQ before and being 5 mins from home it was the prefect spot to try it out. Plenty of food, reasonably priced and best of all very tasty. Will definitely be going back.

Ample food provided for the BBQ and staff was attentive, efficient and pleasant. The ambience is industrial inside with tables on the deck area outside for the better weather. Will go again for sure.

Delicious food, especially the sweet potato which has instantly become one of my favorite snacks. An interesting selection of drinks with a Korean spin on them. Helpful friendly staff ensured our experience was hassle free and enjoyable! Loved it!

What a great addition to the restaurants in Frankston. Having the food cooked at the table just added to the overall enjoyment. The food was delicious and healthy, the service efficient (maybe a little too efficient - a bit of a break between courses would have been good), the staff were very friendly. The decor was really nice however it was quite noisy and difficult to hear each other talking. We would definitely recommend and we will definitely return.

Fresh, tasty food and very good value. Our initial drink orders arrived promptly, however subsequent drink requests (pushing the table buzzer several times) received no response, so we eventually went to the bar to order additional drinks. To be fair, the restaurant was full and it was a Monday night, so they were perhaps understaffed. Our group of 8 were unable to pay individually, which made it tricky to settle the bill; a sign on the door or menu advising "no split bills" would have been helpful. However, we will definitely eat at Geonbae again.

Great food, great service, I can highly recommend! The bbq was tender and beautifully cooked - and try the dumplings! Lots of yummy dishes to share with friends.

Great atmosphere, food and staff. Have been a few times now and would definitely go back again. Very clean and well laid out. Everything is explained clearly and the menu options are good.

The food was average and the service terrible but that was not the worst part. We were seated right by the door that went to the toilets which is literally a wind tunnel. Every time (which was at least 40 times during our meal) someone opened the door, a massive cold wind blew our table. Because not everybody bothered to close the door I had to repeatedly get up to close the door which added to the annoyance. After the meal when we went up to pay (because nobody asked us if we wanted the bill) we were initially charged $370 instead of the $150 we should have been charged. Luckily my husband noticed and it was corrected. Very disappointing experience when I was really hoping for much better.

The food was amazing, the restaurant was modern and very nice, and the staff were really sweet. Can't wait to go again! Oh and the cocktails are a must!

Great food but service could have been tweaked a little- giving us bowls, rice, our drinks we ordered and having the more experienced staff to guide the lovely lady who was open about how nervous she was would have made our night amazing.

Fantastic restaurant! Food is delicious and it's a fun experience. Service is great too, they come quickly to your table when you hit the call button (yes tables have a service button!)
