Three of us plus the dog had a wonderful brunch Easter Monday. It was fantastic to find a place that had great meals, great coffee, friendly and helpful staff AND a safe and quiet space to take our pooch. We will DEFINITELY be returning.

Arrived on time and we were immediately seated. Drink service and food service were very good. We were allowed to sit chatting undisturbed for quite a long time. Only complaint would be that it was a bit noisy but that is good because it means they are busy.

My partner, his teenage daughter and I dined at the Dish & Spoons in Middle Camberwell on Saturday. This is my personal favourite cafe. I have tried many cafes in the Eastern suburbs but always come back to Dish & Spoon. It’s just so comforting every time I come here. This place has the best food and staff. We are treated like old friends and the staff are so warm, kind and helpful. We ordered a chicken burger with fries, steak sandwich and a lobster roll. I loved my chicken burger! The chicken is crispy and full of flavour, the burger is soft and goes well with the beets and sour cucumbers, a nice balance. Steak was cooked medium rare, just the way my partner wanted it. The only thing is that my partner’s daughter was ‘not used to’ the way the lobster roll was made. Haha, typical teenage girl. She then had the excuse to try my partner’s and my food which she enjoyed! We always encourage her try different things and be exposed to all sorts of food. Sometimes it takes a few goes before one develop the liking of certain food or things. Overall, it was a great experience and we’ll come back soon!

The service was great, from the moment I arrived, to the person taking the order, the person delivering the food to the thoughtful attentiveness by another waiting staff member who topped up our water on a few occasions when walking past. And the pleasant staff member who directed me to the toilet upstairs when the other one at the back was occupied.

Good tasty food, tried the Breakfast Mezzo plate. Dog friendly courtyard and close to leash free park to burn some energy before hand. Happy to return.

The food was good, though the gluten free chicken burger was more of an unassembled gf bread with chicken . It still tasted good though. The noise levels were a bit high with a reasonable crowd in for lunch.
