really love this restaurant. great fun with interesting food and people watching. This place is definitely one to bring your friends to as the servings are large and too much for one.
thats a really nice hot-pot restaurant, that would be the best hot pot in my opinion. Although the service is normal, but the tastes are good.
very very very very very very good ,food is very very very very fresh ,and you can choose level of spicy. It’s very good .
IMHO the best Cheng Du hotpot you can find in Melb. Only downside was the lack of a liquor licence to complete the whole experience.
A lot of variety of food and drink. Fun experience cooking your own food in hotpot style. Down side: They charge $3/pp of dipping sauce
Service was excellent and the food exceeded our expectations. Price was a bit on the high side though. If you are after traditional Sichuan hot pot, definitely worthy of a try.
When we wet all queuing to get into the resturant, some people jump the queue in front of the line but the staff still let them in.
Very good Chinese hotpot. Service was good highly recommended for the food. Especially the tender beef and king fu potato slices. Must try as the best hotpot in Melbourne
Always a pleasure to eat at David’s! Took dad for an early father’s day dinner and he enjoyed it. Funnily enough, he couldn’t handle the lowest spice level of the broths but he enjoyed it none the less. Thanks for having us!
Seafood broth was delicious. Slightly spicy broth was incredibly spicy, not recommended unless you can really handle the heat. Not a large condiment range, but all the normal sauces and friendly service
excellent customer service and hot pot as well- I normally go there once 1 week. That is my favourite restaurant. We are so happy there to enjoy the good food
delicious! loved the food and loved the service. the marbling on the beef is just exquisite. will definitely be back for more excellent food. cheers
Wonderful experience with my friends!it can show you local tasty of China and drive away your homesick !the quality of ribs is fresh and tender
One of the best Sichuan hotpot I have ever had. Quite pricey though. Spent about $170 for two people. Might be more worthwhile to go with more people.
Excellent service and ambience! Food is awesome however the slightest spicy soup is not slightly spicy at all, it is SUPER spicy to my and friends liking but still I will recommend David’s hot pot!
No customer service. When you make the payment, they tell you they don't t take eftpos or credit card and uses the excuses like" the eftpos machine is not working", however, they have a dodgy ATM at the side for you to draw money and pay cash, doesn't seem to be an honest business, don't reccomend people to waste time there.
Two people spend 200 dollars which is expensive. The discount calculating is confusing need to check the bill carefully before pay. Food is good anyway !
Great food but a bit expensive at $84 for 2. I would recommend the mushroom soup. They charge the same one price pot to share regardless of how many you are, so, more economical to have at least 4 ppl sharing.
Tried this hot pot place on a wintery day. First time here. You can book by calling them or use Quandoo which is easier. Came in for dinner at 5pm. Ordered half less spicy and half seafood soup. The least spice soup is really spicy and I can eat spicy food. The seafood soup is good too. Ordered beef, lamb, prawn paste and mushrooms and tofu skin. All tasty. It is a bit pricey over $115 for two. If you pay cash you will get 5% discount. Suggested that they bring down the price as I will not be returning as there are other hot pot place around Melbourne.
We booked beforehand. I used to eat spicy food but their chilli soup (they have slightly/medium/ hot, we order slightly) it was super hot for me. tastes and fravor was good but too hot. mushroom suop was quite nice. Staffs are friendly!
The food taste good and a bit pricy. Ordering by scanning QR code via WeChat works well. Unexpectedly we were asked to pay by cash after the meal.
Tasty, fresh hotpot, bit pricier than regular hotpot, but the quality of produce was high and the service was quick and efficient. Very enjoyable, plus I got birthday noodle. Thank you David's Hotpot.
Authentic ambiance and flavours. The staff were very helpful and attentive, recommending the amount of dishes between us and what kind of dishes aswell. The wagyu beef was cut a little thick, which made it chewier than it should’ve been, but all other meats were great. The price is a little high, especially if you don’t order carefully or over-order, but overall great experience :)
Food is excellent. Very like coming at night. Eat so much. A number of choices. The dish is fresh. Overall, good restaurant. Especially the spicy beef.
The food and service is very good. Compare to the other hotpot place this one taste so close to the Chinese traditional hotpot. Highly recommend
Nice restaurant, nice service, nice taste. But one thing,I had to be in line to pay.It took 7mins.I wish I had done paying earlier.I would go agin difenietly.
Good taste and service. Though the price is a little bit high, it can still be the best hot pot in Melbourne city. Will visit the next time.
Nice place to have small gathering dinner for four to six people which allows you to try different dishes instead of ordering way too much food
the restaurant is a bit crowded. even no big table for six people. The taste of the hot pot is good though. too rush as only allowed 1.5 hours dining time
The staffs are very friendly, the foods are really delicious but a bit spicy and the atmosphere is very cozy.
We booked online one day before Easter. And it is very convenient and be confirmed in 30 mins. Highly recommend it and will use again
Worst hot pot place ever! Got all our orders wrong and service so was poor! It was also really expensive, rather go something else, food was so mediocre!
Genuine Sichuan Hotpot, very spicy and tasty! Good meet! Good source! A bit expensive but worth it! Tight time for eating! Recommend for all friends!
We had an enjoyable lunch at David’s Hotpot, food are fresh and decent, environment is very typical Chengdu style, and staff are very positive. Will recommend to friends to come too.
the food was great and the flavours were intense. i would highly recommend this place on a cool winters day. definitely keeps u warm. great prices too
Good food. Too few seats. Crowded in peak hour. Worth trying.
very nice food the lamb very nice the noodle is delicious i love all the food i ordered tonight the staff was very friendly thanks
It is Classical Sichuan hotpot as what I expected, fantastic! For parking, there are several Wilson parking available around the restaurant. Definitely will visit it again, and regularly
Amazing quality food for a good price! Friendly service staff as well
It was tasty, but I couldn't leave toilet after eating spicy hot pot, for it caused upset stomachache. If anybody couldn't eat spicy food, I wouldn't want to recommend spicy one. If I visit someday again, I'll choose normal soup.
