Vibrant atmosphere, imaginative food with interesting combinations, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and literally books of alcoholic choices! I cannot recommend this eatery highly enough for a wonderful dining experience.

Good atmosphere, drinks were also very good. Food was slightly disappointing. The price was reasonable within being cheap. The staff were both attentive and helpful, particularly with food allergies

Fantastic place to eat. Food was amazing, service excellent and cocktails were unbelievable! The rooftop bar was great. Can imagine what it's like when the weather is good. The only negative was that there way too many cocktails to choose from.

Always great food at Cookie. The five spice chicken is a flash version of KFC and the scallop entrée was awesome. And they have the best beer list in town!

We love Cookie, it is quirky, food is wonderful (including plenty of choices for vegetarians) and we love the history of Curtin House, the old Communist Party HQ and an SP betting shop. View from the little balconies over Swanston Street and the tops of the Plane trees has a great Melbourne feel. Friday lunch was busy and quite noisy. We had requested a table near the windows but our assigned table was at the other end - OK though. Staff were busy but always obliging and very friendly and helpful. Our friends who had not been there previously, said that they really enjoyed it.

Table was not ready, was made to wait, poor service and felt like it was 40 degrees inside the place. Ended up leaving without waiting

Excellent Food! Service was reasonable, and could be improved if more staff were available. Unfortunately it was Mothers Day and was packed. Lovely ambiance and staff catered well for our daughter when we got their attention. All in all a great experience and we are sure to return! On another note as they say they do not having takeaway license you can not get a doggy bag!

Flavours were very tasty but presentation of the meals was less than you would expect for a restaurant with such a great rep. Great value but they need to prepare the produce with more care and take better cuts of meat.

I haven't been to Cookie for a few years... & I still love it - such a great vibe! Great menu, beer list, wine list etc. The food wasn't as amazing as I remember it, but still really good.

Drink service was slow compared to the rest of the restaurant. long wait to be served at bar. Food was exceptional, best fried chicken ever!

Cookie is an institution for a reason. It's amazing! Every experience is unique with a huge menu that always delights.

Cool atmosphere. Great drinks menu. Food servings were large. Spicier than expected! Staff friendly and helpful. Quick and efficient. Will be coming back to try more.

Fab service - Arrived early so we had a drink at the bar. When we were seated, the wait staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, our meals were served quickly but we didn't feel at all rushed.

This was my 3rd time to Cookie. We're from Newcastle, NSW and do a yearly trip to Melbourne. We always make time for Cookie. Food, amazing. Cocktails, amazing. Service, 10/10. Atmosphere, perfect. Not one complaint.

You just cannot pick a bad meal from this menu. So many great options that if you are a regular, you can be assured that if you pick your 1 favourite and few new ones, you'll always be well fed. Massive kudos go to the wait staff who are more than happy to give you a sample of a few different wonderful ales to help your decision about the ones you'd most like to enjoy with dinner. I come to Melbourne for this place!

Went there for drinks to catch upwith friends and got forced to buy food or get kicked out and wouldn't even split bills. Never again

we were told we could stay til 8pm but were pushed out at 7.45pm. i found that quite rude. especially as when i rang to confirm the guy said it would be until 8

This place never fails, unlike some of restaurants that start off sparkling and disappoint after the first six months. Great food, great service, great atmosphere - as good as its always been.

Excellent restaurant with fantastic service, the range of food was so great that we just opt for the feed me option.

Excellent service, ambience and delicious food. We enjoyed a lamb curry and spicy cashew nut salad paired with a bottle of the organic tempranillo. Yum!

Great food, very tasty and serves very fast. Only downside is it is bit noisy due to the layout of this place. Will definitely come back again.

One of my favourite restaurant/ bar in Melbourne. Loved the service, food and the wide selection of beers and wines. Ordered pad thai, fried calamari and crispy pork salad with fried egg & celery salad. The pork wasn't very crispy which was a slight let down, however the other two dishes were excellent.

Cookie is always a fantastic experience. Incredibly good food, great choice of beers, and very knowledgeable and helpful staff who are happy to help navigate the food and drink choices.

Cookie always has great food, delicious drinks and a very Melbourne vibe, however on this visit service could be a little more attentive, especially since it was a mid week dinner.

Great food, wonderful service, fabulous space! The tapioca balls were fabulous, as was the fat noodles with duck and the lamb curry. Can't wait for the minced beef dish to return to the menu.

Bring back the chicken mince ball green curry this was our favorite and its just not the same made from chicken thighs. Flavour of the curry is still nice.

Nice place but the two main dishes we chose were way too hot - chilli wise for our taste which spoilt the meal for us .

Brilliant food, great space and cheerful efficient service. The selection is incredible and the waiter advised us we had ordered too much and made excellent suggestions. The flavours were brilliant, fresh, clean and the right amount of heat. It's one of my favourite lunch spots.

Great food, great atmosphere. Unfortunately the service was well below average. We felt forgotten about which is terrible considering we spent over $450. It will be a while before we return here again, it at all.

Good food and overall ambiance. Bar staff very slow. Wine list is huge. Waitstaff efficient. Definitely worth a visit, check out the upstairs bar too.

Cookie never fails to please - food is always fantastic, reasonably priced and great atmosphere. Great for a drink after work or a bite to eat (and live that you can book for the restaurant) - it's a must for anyone visiting Melbourne.

Great service and the food was amazing. Staff were very attentive, efficient and friendly. It was our daughter's 18th birthday and it was a memorable experience with a really vibrant atmosphere. Thanks Cookie, we shall return.

Pretty deece, but I reckon it's a better place for drinks. Better Thai joints out there, but this one still does the job for hungry foodies

We had Fabulous service. The food was amazing. Loved the atmosphere!! Funky and fun and you can still hear yourself talk. Will definitely return. One of my favourite Melbourne restaurants.

We asked our waitress to choose for us because we couldn't decide. She was brilliant and gave us a great selection with plenty of variety all of which were delicious.

Food was luscious and yummy. The music was too loud, making interaction with accompanying diners difficult. Especially if they are seated on the other side of the table.

Fantastic eclectic venue in an historic building. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. Our Matre De sat down and discussed our preferences and presented a suburb selection of dishes matched with wine. Must be the most extensive and and authentic Thai menu in Australasia (AKA the Antipodes).

Everything about this place was great, the service was exceptional, the food outstanding, the cocktails to die for, and the atmosphere buzzing. Will definitely be back.
