wonderful lunch with a group of old friends - we ordered a fabulous vegetarian banquet and were very well looked after. great food, great drinks list (exhaustive and inventive too) and lovely staff. cannot rate Cookie highly enough for lunch!

So loud in there that we couldn't hear each other talk and resorted to raising our voices louder and louder. This was a big shame, because the food and service was outstanding.

Service was quite poor waited an hour for a glass of wine and food was abit over priced for what it was. There was one lovely waiter with round glasses who was a great laugh!

Excellent food, attentive and helpful waiter an d buzzy atmosphere. Just too loud as we couldn't hear each other speak Music should be turned down when the place is full so everyone is not screaming to be heard. Ill definitely return as a couple but perhaps not for a group dinner given you cant hear each other

The food at this venue continues to be amazing. The acoustics mean you do need to shout at each other though

The dinner was not enjoyable as the food was very bad as we did not finish the meals. The prawn entre we ate but were very disappointed with the 5 dishes we ordered. The fish dumpling entre was very dry and the tapioca dumplings were tasteless with lettuce that had rust on it and carrots oversized and overhanging and larger than the plate. The pad thai noodle had under cooked and firm to hard noodles. The chicken was overcooked and dry with shrimp sized frozen prawns. The Crispy pork belly with peppercorn was more like chilli than peppercorn flavored. The pork pieces were burnt to charcoal on the bottom with large fatty pieces of fat under the skin. The pork was not even crispy and was more soggy and rubbery and appeared not to have roasted to begin the crisping process of the skin cooking. I would never recommend this restaurant to my family or friends who all frequently enjoy fine dining restaurants. My friend was utterly disappointed and was disgusted in this famous restaurant

If Hip means extremely noisy then Hip it is. That aside food wise I tried the green chicken curry. Had many curries around the globe and this was inedible due to heat. Should come with a warning!

Cookie was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The only issue was it took forever to get dessert and we had to find the menu ourselves but all in all great place with a wicked atmosphere; would definitely return.
