Friendly wait staff and a tasty Thai meal with lovely wine in a funky atmosphere. A good way start to a Saturday night out with friends.

Cookie is a little gem hidden on Swanston st, the atmosphere is great and the food was awesome. We had one staff member who looked after us all night and she was very attentive

Excellent food with some really authentic flavored. The service was top notch even on a Friday busy night, after being seated. Just that the venue was very loud to have any meaningful conversation without shouting.

Tried something different off the menu and was disappointed. The hot sauce accompanying my meal tasted like it had been squeezed out of a Srirachi bottle. Ok but expected more.

I enjoyed the dinner with my friends. The food has excellent taste and good volume, reasonable price. It was a bit pity too noisy to talk with friends. Suit for big party night.

Food was great. Was disappointed on arrival to be put in the cheap seats i.e. nearest the toilets, despite being there at 6pm for the first sitting with plenty of better empty tables around us. Booking was made 2-3 weeks prior also so wasn't like we were last minute and at the bottom of the booking sheet/table floor plan. Sense it may have had something to do with having 4 kids in tow. Service was ok but nothing to write home about. Lots of kool aid flowing with the service team. Some were good and some just appeared like the whole "work' thing was a bit of an inconvenience.

The more I visit cookie, the more I want to go back again! fabulous food☺ Cookie is a true explosion of flavours. The restaurant is a bit loud though.

Great food, tables a little close together but overall a good experience. The menu is fantastic however the waitress disappeared a few times leaving us with empty water glasses

Very loud restaurant but always busy with an incredibly long menu and knowledgeable staff. Can be chalk to order when portion sizes vary greatly even within the individual small, medium, large options.

Great selection of food and drinks, excellent flavours, great value for money, although the restaurant is very noisy with very loud background music and the noise from lots of patrons.

This was our first time at Cookie, the atmosphere was great, we were served by Elliot and let me say the rating of a "six" is a reflection of his service. His helpfulness was greatly appreciated and his recommendations were on point, I really enjoyed my meal. Overall it was a great experience, the food is delicious, the service is great! I'll definitely be coming back.

Don't accept a table outside - the service was good, however was let down by price of food. Some dishes very overpriced (don't order the stuffed calamari). Average.

A wonderful Thai eaterie in the most divine of settings. Always good. Try the red duck curry ~ you won't be sorry! The green papaya salad is also delicious.

Very knowledgeable and attentive staff. The meals were explained to us and our level of chilli tolerance and our meals were adjusted accordingly and were very good. The décor is very quirky books lining the walls An overall pleasant experience.

Ask if a certain item on the menu was spicy and was told yes Ordered another item, when it arrived or was so spicy we could barely eat it. Would have expected to have been told it was spicy after discussing the first item. Not a great experience unfortunately

A disapointing visit to Cookie - food was well below the usually high standard. Plus we had the added bonus of a spider in our Thai sausage dish, which was taken off the bill only at our request. Not sure we'll be back any time soon...

Nothing like a fusion flavour dish. Try the scallops, coz their amazing. Good food, staff, & drinks. The drinks in a tall cocktail glass looks awesome, whatever they are. Haha

Delicious food and great ambience. Probably not the place to go if you're seeking a quiet meal, but if you don't mind a bit of noise it's fantastic.

Been a few times before for lunch - this was a first for dinner... Great location/space, on-the-ball staff, delish high-flavour modern Asian menu, impressive drinks lists (sep for cocktails, wines and beers). BUT, the funky, well-chosen soundtrack to the eating experience, was so LOUD, the waiting staff would have to be experts at lip reading just to take an order. I realise Saturday nights are right for partying, but social dining at volume 11 while trying not to have your sense of taste thrown out of whack is a challenge. Also, with everything bathed in a dim red light, it's really hard to see and fully appreciate the beautifully prepared dishes. The evening chefs must have a little cry about this! So our iPhone torches came in handy for ordering and checking out what we were eating. Our tummies were happy, but our ears were ringing. Take note management – you lost a point for that.

Excellent food and service. Great cocktails at a very good price and a huge selection of beers. The lamb curry is the best. Will definitely be back.

We always come here for latish lunch on Sunday or public holiday, this timing is peace and quiet amazing when weather turn up like today. Usually buzzing place (which is no problem) foods are great and never ending drink list. Highly recommended.

Would be nice to have a jug of tap water at the table but love this place. Great food and service. Would definitely recommend it!

Thanks Quandoo everything worked perfectly from booking to a very nice table and great food, particularly Duck Salad. Great to re-visit Cookie after some years and see that they have maintained their consistency.

As usual the food was great so tasty and fresh. The staff informative and their recommendations were bang on. Will be back again, one of Melbourne's great Thai menus.

Food was excellent, table service was great but to get the best bottled beer you still need to go to the bar. I ordered from the menu, waited 10 minutes (yes I checked the time) and then finally saw the lazy ass barman emerge from the back room, serve a friend of his and finally 15 minutes later (that's a quarter of an hour) finally arrogantly tell me "sorry we don't have that". Cookies bar staff are THE WORST in Melbourne by far and I can vouch for that having gone there since it opened. Not sure if I could gave it again with such drop kicks behind the bar

The food was really yummy (had the beef chilli with rice). Atmosphere is very pleasant and this is about the 6th time I've eaten here. I will be back shortly and would recommend highly to others.

The meal was lovely however the service was ... lacking. Considering we had prebooked well in advance I was very disappointed that our table was crammed between a pillar and a cash register. One person at a time had to sit at the table as there was no room to squeeze behind chairs. We also had to ask for water when we were seated and were told "sorry we are really busy". Unfortunately due to the uncomfortable seating and being bumped by waitstaff as they walked past our table we ate hurriedly and left as quickly as possible. It's a shame that I'm not just writing about the lovely food.

The food is always spectacular, the vibe is great and the staff really know their stuff. With such an extensive menu, there is always something new and delicious to try. An absolute 'must visit'.

Cookie never fails to deliver. Great space, tunes and amazing selection of Thai fusion dishes. Cocktails are always a winner! Some of the best staff going around as well.
