Great food, big portions, nice staff - will come back

I hadn’t been to the restaurant before and didn’t realise that seating for two people could potentially be on high stool. The manager did move us to a table but we had to leave by a certain time which shortened our visit. Had I known, I would have specifically requested to be seated on a regular chair as I am recovering for a significant leg injury. Re service, there were two different waiters coming to take orders. One asked if we were ready to order, we said that we needs a few minutes. He helpfully explained some menu items. Two seconds later another waiter asked us if we were ready to order.

My friends and I loved the food here! Having traveled around Sri Lanka this brought back some good memories. Portions were perfect and the egg hoppers were great. Loved the cocktails too :)

The head waiter was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and genuine. He offered suggestions on suitable menu items to suit our dietary requirements as well as levels of spice according to our taste. We watched him deal with a difficult (unreasonable) customer at another table beautifully, with a smile on his face and a professional manner. He went out of his way to accomodate her demands and walked away unfazed. The food was divine, flavour, presentation, portions all perfect. All wait staff were genuine, friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was cosy, stylish, modern and clean. We would absolutely return to try more menu items. Lots of options for vegans too as well as meat eaters.

Been waiting to try Columbo Social for awhile and it didn’t disappoint, I got my booking time wrong but they accommodated us at the bar while we waited for a table. Tried quite a few dishes AAA+

We enjoyed a lovely evening at this lovely establishment with friends. The food was delicious , my favourites were the chicken curry and the pork curry, reminded me of being in my grandmothers kitchen. We will definitely be back.

The service was wonderful! The owner came over to chat to us about the menu and how his mum designed the ‘traditional’ section. The chilli margarita was next level. Couldn’t recommend this place any higher.

Food and drinks were good. Very noisy and tables were so close together that you couldn’t get out without moving them. Service in general good. No desserts and no goat curry. Would go again to try more on the menu but maybe a weekend lunch

Great food made even better by such a wonderful warm and friendly team at Colombo Social. This was my second time dining here. Will definitely be heading back for those tantalising flavours, from the cocktails and drinks to the last mouthful of food. YUM.

Food was 100% delicious. Want to come again but it was extremely noisy. Perhaps invest in sound absorbing materials ??

Food was amazing. I have never had Sri Lankan food before and this is just next level. Highly recommended. The bar manager was kind enough to offer us wine tasting before we selected out bottle. Also, we dessert was sublime!
