We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The service was friendly, helpful and the advice we received as first timers was excellent. The food was amazing. Tried the sift shelled crab tacos, fish curry, eggplant brinjal, hoppers and the mixed samba plate. We'll be back.. Soon!

When we arrived our reserved table was ready straight away. It then took some time for anyone to come to the table to ask about drinks or if we had any questions about the menu. The food was fine, but a little bland. I had the vegetable curry but was just a bit like some coconut milk with some curry powder. It was disappointing as I had been looking forward to going. Maybe it was just an off night.

Food was tasty but portions small, a Sri Lankan with us said the food wasn't authentic. Noisy thumping music wasn't turned down when requested. Wine was expensive. Obviously I'm in a minority , the place was crowded.

Great experience, very tasty modern Sri Lankan cuisine, and I like the social aspect of the restaurant too.

Everything about it was excellent, from the amazing staff to the food which was the perfect fusion of delicious an satisfying.

Great food - ordered to much but everything was great. In particular, loved the marrow pan roll, snack pack and the kottu roti (which we got with pulled lamb).

Lovely staff, good food, great atmosphere, well priced! Service was slow but I realize this restaurant is only just opened. Wish this place all the best and look forward to returning.

The mains - curries - really authentic. Entrees are a bit alternative, but still nice. I think the entrees are pricey compared to mains. Excellent venue, great staff.

Loved the roti taco, goat curry & the hoppers. Perfect level of spiciness & taste. The staff were very friendly & service was quick. Would have been great if there was pol roti to go with the curry. Probably would have been a perfect combo. Definitely worth another visit though!

Tasty food but slow service and they forgot to bring some of our dishes.

The curries needed more flavour and seasoning in order to tell them apart, beside that food was good. Portions could of been a little bigger based on the price.

Lots of potential here, but delivery needs some work - long wait times for food and drinks (we waited about 30 minutes for drinks, then another 20-30 for food - we were seated at 5pm with only a few other tables). The staff were lovely though and food was good - the only thing I'd say is that $15 for a few pieces of corn is a bit much. Otherwise, all yummy.

Good menu selection, soft shell roti and snack pack were our favourites. Will recommend to others.

Was a bit bright to start with but lights were dimmed later on, making it a lot more comfortable. Will return.

Great food and ambience. The mix of traditional and fusion Sri Lankan, coupled with the relaxed atmosphere made for a great night. The owner, Shaun also went out of his way to make sure every table was looked after

The food lacked flavour and seasoning. most dishes were just super spicy and not a lot else.

The food, hospitality, decor and ethos were flawless!!! We honestly had the best meal of our life, we loved the sharing style meal and there were so many amazing vegan options for us. The highlights were definitely ama's veg curry with the hoppers (TO.DIE.FOR!) And the beetroot bhaji's. We will absolutely be back... Colombo Social will be a new regular for us!

Staff were great! Double checked dietary requirements with us Owner was also very accommodating when we turned up with more people than we booked for.

Pleasant atmosphere and good service. Liked the menu except the goat curry is too hot.More Indian. I didn't experience that level of heat in a curry when I lived there for 4 months. Also the egg hopper mixture is not right.
