Excellent meal, and good service, what more could you ask for. All at a reasonable price as well. We all enjoyed the experience, go for it,
My husband & I went to this restaurant for dinner last night. Really looked forward to it as had heard for years how good it was. Well what a disappointment!! We ordered the share platter for entree, which had chicken, fish, lamb cutlet, beef shisk & mint yoghurt sauce. We also ordered garlic naan. Everything was so hard & dried out, I couldn't even cut the lamb cutlet with my knife its was hard & tough. Chicken & fish were dry & the naan bread was burnt on the base. We ordered malabar fish curry & saffron rice to share for main. The fish was supposed to red emporer but highly unlikely. It did not fall apart & u had to saw through with a knife. The sauce was like clag. The rice was the only thing that was ok. I have never written a review before but this was so bad I had to. My husband also had to ask the wait staff 3 times for the beer he ordered. I would never go this restaurant again or recommend it. I have had better Indian food in a shopping centre food hall.
Food was great, service was lovely.. Best butter chicken i've had in a long time (most are too tomatoey - i think it's based on the region).. Will definitely be back!
Onion bhaji wasn't onion tasted like a packet mix. Food was average not what it used to be. While the service was very friendly and polite it was slow we had to flag someone down for everything.
Great food, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonably priced! I would recommend Chutney Marys to both individuals and families for either a takeaway, a quick meal or an extended dinner.
fantastic food and great atmosphere. Convenient location to Regal Theatre. More attention on the table would have been nice, we had to flag the waiters down to order drinks.
Great place for a quick bite before a show at The Regal. Free glass of wine when you present your theatre ticket, and the staff accommodate quick service to make sure you're on time. Very tasty food
Good food and good service. We ordered everything vegetraian and the flavours were fantastic. We also got complementary drink courtesy event at the Regal theatre
The menu list was very impressive, atmosphere perfect in keeping with the name of the restaurant, table service spot on with taking and reading back what was ordered. Also not hovering to see how we were going with our dinner, allowing us quiet time to enjoy our choices. The wine Pepper Jack bought out more flavour of the spices in the meals, Mango Lassie served ice cold, which is how I like it. Wait staff were friendly, and all dressed in style, clean neat young men. The fact that I ordered a entrée for my mains was not a problem (soft shelled crab) as in other restaurants it can be :( ... Overall an enjoyable evening.
Very good food friendly staff & atmosphere Would recommend to all my family & friends Would definitely return to there again another time for a meal
Enjoyed a lovely dinner before a show at the Regal Theatre. The service was great and food was really tasty. We've been here before and will return again.
A great place to eat, good service and very good food, we were there for a show and the wiater knew that and made sure we were served in good time, we will certinly come again.
Loved the food, service was prompt and staff very friendly. attnding a show so it was very convenient to dine there. Will certany be returning.
This is my favourite Indian restaurant! Their cheese naan and butter chicken are the best! The goat curry is amazing also. I highly recommend trying here!
Really good fish curry, malai kofta also excellent flavour. Really enjoyed this quick dinner. Excellent service and good value for money. Highly recommend this place.
We had a great time, love the food, service was very quick and restaurant ambiance was very nice. I would recommend the Chutney Mary's and definitely visiting again.
The food was good and the service great. We had the Masala Scallops, Brinjahl Bahj, and Rogan Josh. I especially liked the mango lassi and the waiter's good mood.
Excellent service - fast and friendly - would definitely go back again in the new year - a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion
Food was average the place was noisey the staff cosy cosy took 15 minutes to get the attention of a waitto pay the bill wouldn't hurry back
the food was brilliant and delicious. the service was good and the ambience is lovely. I can't think of how you could improve. thank you
Fabulous food and service! A great start to a wonderful night at the Regal. The scallops were wonderful, the goat curry fabulous and the butter chicken yum.
The staff were very attentive without rushing you. Food came out lovely and hot and very tasty. Definitely a good spot to people atch too!
Weve been to Chutney Marys a couple of times and the food this time was as good as always. Great individual flavours. Good service. A great night
Very fresh tasty food and great friendly service. Perfect for a pre-show dinner for the Regal Theatre. Plenty of vegetarian/vegan dishes and meat dishes too.
It would be nice if the buffet could be introduced more often during the week. Similarly, the Thali, which we enjoyed thoroughly on one of our visits.
Food was okay, but we were stuck on a table at the back, by the door to the outside loo. Quite cold and disturbed our meal.
Great food, great service, great ambiance and great friends. We will be back. Never disappointed at this restaurant, the food is sensational and always very quick.
A group of friends and I attended Chutney Mary's on Saturday night. We were attended to promptly to order drinks and starters. These arrived in good time. We ordered onion bhaji which were very tasty along with garlic and cheese naan and pappadums. However we had to go and ask the wait staff to take our mains order. After we received our food we realised one of my friends was ignored and didn't order a main which is a little disappointing. I ordered Lamb Korma and asked for it a little spicier but wow it was made very spicy. I usually can handle spice but it was bordering too hot for me. My other friends enjoyed their food. We ordered a variety of dishes, all of which were enjoyed. Apart from the ordering mishap we enjoyed our meal and experience at Chutney Mary's. Would think about revisiting but more likely go elsewhere.
Chutney Marys was very disappointing. The staff were helpful and friendly. The entrée was very dry and tasteless. The prawn tempura dish was OK, but have certainly tasted much better and was very ordinary. The rice, vegetable dish OK, nothing special. The Naan bread was burnt and we had to pick off the burnt bits, too hard, so we didn't eat it. The pompadoms were soft, obviously made to far in advance. So, very disappointed and we certainly won't be going there again or recommending it. It was virtually empty as well, so that was probably an indication of its standards in food and flavours. Thank you.
Great location for a meal before going to the Regal theatre. The food was good & served quickly. Will definitely be back for the lunch time banquet.
The food was great with good service. We shared a variety of dishes and all of them were up to standard. We would happily go here again.
Te restaurant was not too busy and the staff were very polite and helpful. The food was quite good, with the only downside being that the rice was a bit dry and clumpy. The decor probably needs a bit of an update.
The lunch specials are well priced. Really good value for money. Both of us had the banquet for 2 and the portion was more than enough............could feed 3 pax! All in all, a satisfying meal and both of us skipped dinner as we were too full from lunch. Will return to try out the other items on the menu.
Fine food and service waiters were excellent decor was good. we were able to talk without shouting, The only bad thing was the toilets were in the carpark
The food was good, i wasnt keen on the toilet location being in the car park, the staff were friendly and the location was good
Finally got to go there and did not disappoint. Chicken vindaloo was hot but so so tasty. Service and staff were great as well. 👍
We went to Chutney Mary's on the weekend for the first time and found it to be very nice. The food was great and the customer service was excellent.
Great food with real indian flavour. not too much to eat so you can get plenty of different dishes. Great for friends to share after the game
Great as always - we went prior to a show at the Regal and the service was prompt and friendly. Typically we ordered far too much and the serves are generous anyway but the leftovers were packed up for us without question. The food was delicious but we have never had a bad meal here.
