Food was yum and waiters where very friendly.. really great venue and atmosphere. Slightly disappointing that the wine we wanted they didn’t have in stock, nor a ginger soda on the menu, and there was a small mix up with charges on the bill. But apart from that good night out with friends and would go back!
Great food and atmosphere, really enjoyed the crab with truffle sauce and the pork which was awesome. Popcorn chicken was also really good. Would recommend to others
Wow. The food was absolutely amazing. I’d have to say one of my yummiest experiences yet! The staff were so friendly and 10 out of 10 for the drinks. Beautiful presented. Loved everything about chapas and will certainly be returning and recommending to others
My son had recommended Chapas to me and finally my partner and I finally made it there. It was every good as he said it was. Delicious food and excellent wine.
The staff were amazing. Overwhelmed with choice our waitress helped us and was patient through our indecision. We ended up with a perfect selection of delicious food. Our cocktails were Also amazing and our drink waiter was fun and engaging. Loved everything about the place!
The deconstructed bubble tea is fantastic (as is everything else) . Also perfect for Zero Gluten / Coeliac Friendly staff and the cocktails are quite different
What a fabulous place, great ambience whether for an intimate dinner for two or to catch up with friends. Their food is delicious, plenty to choose from and staff are friendly, bright and welcoming.
I had been to Chapas a few times and was happy to rate it highly and to declare it one of my favourite restaurants on Beaufort Streets. Hence, I booked a table for my birthday, excited to introduce my family to this restaurant I had been raving about. I was left disappointed by this most recent experience. Firstly, the gentleman who was on hosting duth that night (23rd of March) took his time to get to us already making us feel like we were going to be a burden on him. Our table had not been prepared although we had a booked a couple of days before our visit. The complimentary plate of delicious pickled vegetables was not offered as it had been in the past but was instead on the menu for $12. The menu itself was not longer what it used to be - the items on offer were not as exciting. The food, no longer party-in-the-mouth material! The only highlights really were the fried calamari and the bao buns who I think these guys have nailed! Oh did I forget to mention that we had to get up from our table many times to get napkins, plates or drinks?! Yes we did and really we shouldn’t have to but it seems that service standards have dropped alongside food quality and tastiness. I will not be running back to Chapas anytime soon unfortunately! Let’s hope these guys wake up from their nap soon!
Amazing gluten free food. Service was top notch and great atmosphere. They asked if there were any special food requirements right at the beginning Try the home made sodas YUM!!!
Food was delicious, I would describe it as Asian fusion. Dessert was a real winner with Chappas' own take on a deconstructed bubble tea - quite the experience and not sickly sweet. Nice to see the chef's originality and creativity on the plate. A must try.
Staff are friendly. Food and cocktails are good. Cocktails had funny names so was a good laugh. Went with a group of 8 girls, everyone thought it was reasonably priced too
The food was very tasty, the service was really good - the right about of attention, and the cocktails were wonderful. Will be going again
The food was fantastic and lots of gluten free options for us. Service was excellent from everyone. We would recommend it to anyone else and will be going back
Great food but service was lacking given only two tables were occurred when we were there. The desert at the top of the list was truly magnificent and worth going just for that it was $22. Forgotten the name though.
Great choice of dishes, good service with very friendly & helpful staff. Pleasant setting with good lighting. Good value for money. Will recommend to friends
Restaurant was funky, food was ok, nothing special, having lived in Asia for a few years I always feel a little disappointed at attempts to copy Asian food.
Pleasantly surprised by the authentic flavours at Chapas, which are usually overlooked in fusion restaurants. Loved the twist to the many signature Chinese dishes, such as Dong Po meat. The crispy egglants had to be the favourite though!
This is the place to go if you’re torn between a western brunch and an asian brunch. Great selection of food available. Would definitely recommend
Great food and great service - perfect place to go have Asian dinner and drinks! Highly recommended 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼
The staff at Chapas were happy to help us with finding foods suitable for our familiy’s food intolerances. It was much appreciated. The service was efficient.
Food was ok, service was reasonable, there is better Asain tapas in Perth
Was lovely meal with great service by friendly helpful staff really enjoyed our meal will be coming again soon. Ingredients were lovely and fresh and décor is very nice.
Pros Great food and decent value for money. Make sure you try the popcorn chicken. Cons Our last tapas dish arrived 20 min after the rest of the meal had been completed.
Always Excellent! The food is amazing, and lots and lots of gluten free options. The service is great. They have an excellent selection of wines.
Great atmosphere and food. Cocktails were delicious; staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Service was quick making the entire experience very pleasurable. Would highly recommend.
Great restaurant, with an incredible range of gluten free dishes that are actually Coeliac friendly. The service is friendly and efficient and the food is consistently delicious.
I am a Coeliac with IBS so have to be extremely particular where I eat out. Chapas have taken the fear out of it! Food has always been good and they are very accommodating when it comes to specific dietary requirements, like no garlic no onion for example... Love it and will defs be back for sure!
Fantastic food, great service and pretty good value. We had the set menu and the choices they gave us were all fantastic. Great place to go.
Service sensational and food .. wow! Will be back for sure and bring a group To experience this Mt lawley sensation Fabulous what more can I say
Great service and ambience. Food was fantastic and menu was quite extensive. Small plate tapas is what we had and was really good. Will definitely be back again.
The service started off okay, but then became rather pushy and impatient. The low wooden chairs were uncomfortable. The food was very salty and/or sweet. The BBQ pork dish was dry. The sago pudding desert was not as refreshing as traditional sago puddings with a powdery texture. We weren't asked how our meal was at the end. It was nice enough but we won't be going back.
The food was very average - service was alright but ran out of the beer and champagne we asked for - so can really say won't be going back there again
Last night was our first time at Chapas. Great atmosphere and the food we had ordered was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back again!
Always a great time at this gorgeous place. Great food, lovely waitstaff, and wicked atmsophere! Portion sizes were perfect, though my eyes were a little bigger than my stomach!
Ambience was nice, food was nice but portions abit small. Not bad for the fusion idea on the food. It will be great if there can be more options on the menu.
The food was delicious and different. The service was very attentive. The place had very good ambience. The prices and portions were reasonable. I would highly recommend it.
Exciting food, very creative. So nice to try something different. Great service nothing too much trouble. The venue itself is also quite different . Well worth a visit. We’ll be back for sure.
Food was average, nothing special. Service was great but probably won’t be rushing back anytime soon as food was a bit on the pricey side yet did not quite hit the spot
The staff were lovely and attentive. Food was pretty good but big serving. The day we went was warm and water given wasn’t cold and air con wasn’t on
The food was amazing, the waiter was obviously busy with the crowded restaurant but was still pleasant. we did not linger tho as it was unbearable hot with no air conditioning and limited fans.
Was our first time. Food was great but service was a bit slow. I guess because you were busy on the night. Food coming out was fast just taking orders and getting drinks to table was a bit slow.
We had the Feed Me option and the food was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was excellent and a great night was had by us all !
Interesting menu with a mix of different contemporary Asian dishes.
Fantastic service and amazing food! A beautiful update on traditional cuisine delivered thoughtfully. Not to mention, a very interesting cocktail list and great selection of local brews!
Yummy Asian fusion tapas with a fast turnaround time. Would definitely go back. The popcorn chicken and duck pancakes are a must. If you like spicy food the Sichuan Hummus and lamb dumplings are a go to.
Lovely food and very friendly staff. Great choice of small serves which allowed for tasting various dishes. The Bao buns and duck pancakes were excellent.
Excellent selection of food; Cook has to be commended for getting it right. My partner is newly diagnosed as Celiac so being able to eat gluten free dumplings was a great holiday surprise for her. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone as food was perfect and service was impeccable.
My husband and I had a rare night out together - what a great night. Fantastic food and service. Great gluten free food! Thank you!!
serive poor, waiter had little knowledge of dishes and the dishes came out at very random times. dish quality varied from terrible(prawn)to tasteless (chicken) to quiet good (beef). very pricey for quality of food and service. overall a very dissappinting experience. i would not recommend this to anyone
Wonderful service and delicious, interesting food. Good portions for the price. Will definitely be returning. Great date night spot and lovely ambience. So full now!
