Bistro Cocotte

Been there twice so far - one for a la carte, the other for French Korean Night. Excellent quality French food. Serving sizes are very good (though I could do with more - especially for the steak tartare). Service is friendly and attentive, and not intrusive. French Korean Night was an interesting experience. The kimchi in the dishes (snapper ballotine and ham hock terrine) could have been spicier for more flavour, but I understand the need of other diners. Would recommend to others and would return.

A very good local restaurant that offers BYO early in the week.

The food was okay however service was a major let down. We had to ask for our wine menu. We had to ask for our actual bottle of wine twice. They couldn’t even bring us the bill and I had to walk up and pay. They were just run off their feet and totally in attentive to our needs. Really put a sour note on our seven year wedding anniversary dinner. We won’t be back

I would sum up our experience as “a delicious dining experience underpinned by attentive service and hospitality”. I booked my wife’s birthday at Bistro Cocotte with 24 guests and they tailored a delicious banquet menu with an amazing croquembouche birthday cake to match. We think our guests were suitability impressed with the food and had a great time which made my wife extremely happy. Also great for kids (which is how we first discovered BC). Highly recommended.

One of a kind - impeccable service. what stood out was that the staff "knew what they were talking about", compared to so many others! The fish-portion could have been a bit larger, but the piece of chateau B made up for it.....A hidden jewel of restaurant.

The food for the night was fantastic as was the service. We were disappointed though with the matching wine.The glass pours were under standard and at only 4 varieties with nothing to finish was very over priced

Lovely "brasserie" feel, great food, no fancy shenanigans (thank God!) trying for Aussie-French fusion, but excellent technique and ingredients... Everything we could wish for! And for such reasonable prices!

Good food, except disappointed by creme brûlée. It was not very fresh and we could not taste the Armargnac, listed as an ingredient on the menu, which was my reason for ordering.

The perfect “high quality” local restaurant. Have been multiple times and will be back again. Great food and wine, good service and a nice, cosey atmosphere (not to noisy, easy to have a present table exchange). Not cheap.

4th birthday celebrated in style Best French in the Inner West

Everything was perfect - it was only the second time we've been but it was great.

Food was French but also interesting . Traditional yet also innovative a lovely restaurant , busy at night time but more space at lunchtime. Definitely go again.

Excellent food ,good service not overbearing . Understated restaurant which is good ie ( not wanky ) . The Scallops , Pork Belly and Steak were perfectly cooked and just wonderful . Limited wine list but all agreeable wines . We will be back to sample other items on the menu - too good not to .
