I can see why Bambusa is so popular. I have dined here many times and most often it is nearly full, especially on a Saturday night. Bambusa is in the living heart of cosmopolitan Manuka. The prices are affordable when compared with other similar restaurants. My curry puffs were very tasty. The steamed duck with mushrooms was delicious and not too spicy. When I asked the waitress for extra vegetables she happily obliged. My tip is to ask for cutlery if you are not good at using chopsticks. My second tip is to book online early beforehand. I am sure that I will dine here again. I can recommend dining at Bambusa.

This was my second time going to Bambusa and the experience wasn't great. We arrived on a Friday night before it got busy but waited for at least 30 minutes after ordering to get our entrees, waited for another 40 minutes before the first main started serving. We were starving and disappointed. In the meantime we saw many takeaways getting ordered and ready before anything came to our table. A table was getting priority services because one of the restaurant owners was sitting there. When we requested the waitress to check with the kitchen, she walked passed us many times but didn't come back with any responses. The table next to us also waited for too long that they went to get chips from somewhere else for the kids. Both of our table and their table had more than 8 people. I was surprised that none of the floor staff didn't think of checking with the kitchen. The same waitress also was supposed to refilled our tea but she walked away with the pot, put it at the counter and forgot about it. It was an embarrassing experience as we were there to celebrate Lunar New Year. The first time I went to Bambusa was very good and the food was amazing so we were very excited to go there again, but this time was very disappointing we would not go there again.

Food, as always, was excellent but the A/C was not working too well on this hot day. Beef hot pot and steamed whole Barramundi were the highlights. We will be returning.

Great, fresh food and wonderful personal service from William our host and chef. Beautifully balanced meal of vegetables, crispy duck pancakes, chili beef, and Shantung chicken. Well be back many more times to introduce family and friends to this special restuarant.

I had salted fish, minced chicken and tofu hotpot which tasted nice, fragrant with ginger. The duck, mushroom and tofu soup and the hot and sour soup are ok. Service is good. Nice atmosphere. Convenient location in Manuka which is just across the road from the cinema and next to the famous Manuka shopping center. I am disappointed that I was charged $2 for chilli and soy sauce that I wanted to accompany my soup.

Last Thursday we had a small family gathering at Bambusa for dinner. It was our first visit to this restaurant and it turned out to be the perfect place for us. We were given a lovely quiet corner, the service was excellent, the food amazingly tasty and the portions extremely generous. We will certainly go back again.

The restaurant was kid friendly - awe had 8 of them. The food was Great - they catered for gluten free without an issue. The service was , fantastic! The staff were friendly .

As usual great food and service. Only niggle was the door letting in a blast of cold air every time someone entered. duck pancakes and fried dumplings were the standout.

The food was absolutely delicious. I found that the price point was reasonable. It was really busy when we were there, so a bit slow, but service was still very good.
