Service was terrific. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was very good. I like this restaurant and will certainly come as often as I can. Good to see some help on walls and ceiling to dampen the noise although it could be a little better, but then I'm well past the young stage.
Excellent food served by a lovely team who really know about service. Nice atmosphere created that minimises sound travel and allows for dinner conversation at a good level. Don’t think twice- book now!
One of the most brilliant dining experiences ever. Staff are extraordinary friendly welcoming and so Warm with hearts opened with a brilliant sense of humour . That alone is worth going for. The atmosphere is always inviting and like going home. And the food always extraordinary fresh exciting. My most favourite restaurant in Sydney. Sindendean
We went for an impromptu dinner to experience some wonderful italian cooking. The Wild Boar Ragu was superb and the service and attention from waiting staff both warm and fabulous
Amazing food, very high-quality. True Italian chefs, so a true Italian meal. Prices are quite high, but it is definitely worth it! Restaurant is very cosy and pleasurable.
Lovely service, delicious food and a great place to have lunch with family and friends or a special occasion for a group of people .
Food was fabulous fantastic, great list of mainly Italian wines, friendly service, it was all just a bit rushed. My partner wolfed the tiramisu down in about 10 seconds. Good cheese selection.
A fantastic night! Most delicious meals & wonderful service from Xan & the whole team. Beautiful experience 😍
Good service, excellent pasta and sauces. A very enjoyable lunch. The quail was really delicious and enjoyable. Didn't have deserts as we were already full.
Loved it. Food, wine and service excellent. Definitely going back again. Pate is a must! The sommelier recommended a great rose and a fabulous red.
Cannot speak highly enough of the wait staff. They were attentive, knowledgeable and put us at ease. Food was light and delicious. We will be back.
Tasty food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. A little more pricey than you need to pay for good food in Surry Hills, but the ambiance made it more of a special occasion.
Outstanding food with good service. Loved the Trout Cannoli and the Lobster Tail. The lamb Cutlets were exceptional too. A little noisy for our liking.
From the minute we walked in the service was warm, friendly and impeccable. The food is absolutely delicious and wine recommendations were excellent. A wonderful restaurant.
A warm welcome was followed by an interesting menu and wine list. A little surprisingly the rather stark decor did not result in excessive noise when the restaurant is busy. A good night out.
The best restaurant in Surry Hills/Darlo?teh City, great atmosphere super friendly and knowledgeable staff gorgeous interior and the food is sublime-not your regular Italian but not overly fance, great ingredients done well!.
Great food, atmosphere and service! Always so welcoming with an ever changing seasonal menu of contemporary Italian dishes. You won’t find a spag bol here :) Love this place.
Great food expertly explained, excellent wines recommended and very good service that was there when you needed it and delightful in manner- a nice night.
Best restaurant in Sydney for aperol, cheeses, prosciutto and pasta! Excellent service and great wine list too. Always excellent and highly recommend coming here and checking it out.
Fantastic service, atmosphere and really superb food. For entree we had the Kingfish Carpaccio with Truffles, and the Smoked Trout Cannoli - brilliant! Then Prawn and Artichoke Fettucine, and Beef Shortribs for mains, which were fantastic. The ambience of the restaurant is great, not too noisy and nice soft lighting. Loved it!
One of the best in Sydney if you are seeking good food, excellent service and a buzzy atmosphere. Menu is not large and courses are balanced. Great choice of wines and one of those rare restaurants where you can eat alone at the bar and not feel out of place.
Beautiful food, beautiful people in a beautiful restaurant. There such a warmth from the moment you walk in too the moment you leave. Strongly recommend for lunch or dinner.
Excellent food, good service and a nice vibe. Minor issue that tables are packed in a bit too close. Mind you, gave us a chance to meet the guy at the table beside us...
tasty and excellent innovative Italian food. the waiters were attentive and service was friendly without being obtrusive. let down a bit by the noise level.
We have had a great experience here prior but after tonight won’t come back again. The prawn fettuccine tasted like it had been soaked in copious amounts of seafood for a long time so unfortunately was so overpowering and unfinishable and my mother had the steak which she asked for medium, came out rare and gristly with pretty much nothing else on the plate. We left very gobsmacked considering how we left last time. Recommendation for more vegetarian mains would be amazing especially considering you state on your website that you cater to this, wasn’t much option.
Our favourite Italian restaurant. A long time neighbourhood favourite. The menu changes regularly and reflects seasonal produce (including a separate truffle menu during winter truffle season!), with a good wine list too. Service is professional, efficient and friendly.
Very tasty, everything cooked to perfection, pasta, heveanly wagyu. Great wine selections and atmosphere. Sometimes can just be a little hard to get attention of waiters.
The Gnocchi and the Wagyu steak were both delicious, as were the Italian red wines. We also shared the Tiramisu which is definitely big enough to share. If you’re ordering sides- I highly recommend the Gratin.
Beautiful food....as always! The wagyu special of the day (spit roast with wine for $25) was divine and such a steal. Pasta was just right. Truffle special was superb. We'll be keeping an eye out for more of those truffle specials!
It passed the acid test. We’d go back. Pleasant staff. Pleasant space. The menu and the specials were good but both desserts read better than they ate. We had a nice time there!
Trying this restaurant for the first time, nice atmosphere though little hard to find parking then found out there is paid parking in the back which can be convinient, food was delicious . Definately will be back .
Enjoy songs and instrumental excerpts from favourite Bernstein works: Wonderful Town, On the Town, Candide, Peter Pan, Fancy Free and West Side Story, as part of the Bernstein Celebration. All his life Leonard Bernstein had a love affair with New York and in his many music theatre works he painted the most vivid picture of life in the ‘City That Never Sleeps’. This performance embraces Bernstein’s New York, offering a rare insight into the composer’s mind with Bernstein devotee Bramwell Tovey at the helm and on the keys.
Amazing restaurant and Staff - Food simple and fancy at the same time and not too $$ .. 2nd time there, Il be back 3rd - highly recommend it
Was so delicious and a perfect easy meal with friends - recommend
The service was great as were the means however the deserts were very very sweet and a little over the top.But I had to go again
We went here for my mother in law’s bday. The food was brilliant. Atmosphere was great (a busy Saturday night but we could still have a conversation and hear each other). Lovely, attentive, knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended.
Nice ambiance and service. All the starters we had was delicious (Meatballs, Aranchinos & Lobster tail special). The fettuccine main was also great. Tortellini was a little salty for my preference and desserts were ok.
Very friendly people, good restaurant and quality. I love condensed menus, so you have few options where to choose, but everyone tempting. Tiramisu is a must! We (my wife and me) spent AUD 178 in 1 entree, 2 main courses and one side, 1 tiramisu and a red wine bottle. I highly recommend this restaurant.
In my humble opinion, Baccomatto Osteria is the best restaurant in Sydney with the most amazing service, food and ambience. You can't go wrong here
The food and the service at the restaurant were both impeccable. We took our children as well and they were very accommodating of their fussiness with food.
Just real good Italian that's authentic and reasonably priced. I like places that have the opportunity to order a carafe instead of a whole bottle.
REALLY GOOD MEAL WITH EXCELLENT SERVICE. TOOK SOME FRIENDS ON A RECOMMENDATION FROM A FOODIE FRIEND AND EVERYONE ENJOYED THEIR MEAL. WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND, AAA
The food, wine, service and atmosphere were outstanding! The spit roast and sangiovese wine were delicious, and surpassed my expectations. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Couldn't recommend this higher. Ambiance was lovely and cosy (especially on such a cold night). Service was professional and friendly (seems like experienced wait staff, not models filling in time until they get a 'real' job). Food was beyond delicious. Every dish at our table was amazing. Can't wait to go again!
Delicious food, wonderful service and fab ambiance for a cold winters night. Be sure to have at least one pasta dish from the menu or specials #divine
Great food, exceptional service, limited menu. Not many choices for vegetarians but the wine list is exceptional. Funky vibe. Great for just a glass of wine too.
Neighbourhood Restaurant with amazing food & very personalised service - great variety on the menu or have the special of the day. Very reasonable wine list.
Excellent food and service .... we had 2 pasta dishes - and argued as to which was the best - there were 2 winners- highly recommended!!
Hi, I went with my partner and the food was amazing, we also loved the atmosphere. Id recommend tables not to close from each other as we could 'be part of' the other tables conversation
Great food with a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommended as a neighborhood gem. Will definitely be back to eat some time soon. The duck liver pate is a must, big enough to share between two
