Ants Bistro

The table service and staff were great and the actual restaurant space is welcoming and has a relaxing appeal and with the added BYO aspect, this is somewhere to really consider. The range of food offered is very wide and experience of returning to eat here would perhaps make for some better judgements as to what goes with what. Overall, with one visit here, one might conclude that the approach is to impress by volume on the plate (can be off-putting!) - as against a more modest amount of food and it being of higher quality (eg tenderness of meat).

Food amazing and tasty but service very slow...actually think our mains were forgotten. Waited an hour for mains until we queried where there were then arrived swiftly.

Food was top quality, Entrees served hot, 3 main courses betwenn 4 people more than adequate, staff attentive, but not overbearing. Drinks were as ordered, and considering it is Chinese New Year and Ants was busy, we had a great time, and would highly recommend this establishment.

I've been to Ant's Bistro many times in Corrs Lane. The food is excellent, inexpensive and the service quick and friendly. Highly recommend going here.

The venue is a bit dated (and the smell of mothballs is a little off putting) and the entrees were slow and came out at all different times, but the food was delicious.

Ants Bostro was everything we could have wanted. The people were friendly, the service was fantastic with attention to any of our requests. The food was everything we could hoped for, it was clean, fresh and very tasty. We were a party of 5. We had Prawn Dumplings, Scallop Dumplings, and Pork Dumplings. We then had mains - Steamed Fish with Chilli, Tea Leaf Smoked Duck and Fish in Hot Pot. Heavenly!

Staff are lovely. Service always good. And the food is amazing!! Try the hot and sour soup and the Wunan pork ribs. Yum. Prices very reasonable too.

My favourite Chinese restaurant by a factor of ten. Food quality is incredibly consistent, service is always good and its byo! They have plenty of traditional fare but also some more intriguing dishes.

Ants is a great little Chinese BYO restaurant in the heart of Chinatown. A vast menu to choose from that includes a delicious array of dumplings & traditional favourites to choose from. Do try the chilli red hot chicken, sizzling lamb fillet with Mongolian sauce & the special fried rice.

I love this restaurant. The food is always consistently great and the staff warm and friendly. I recommend the chilli chicken - it is fabulous.

Always love this restaurant. A great meal of curry lamb spring rolls, san choi bow followed by 5 spice lamb, fillet steak and fishermans chicken. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely, cheerful restaurant with delicious food. Recommended for a night with good friends. We went on a Saturday night and it was buzzing. Nice, helpful staff. They could have probably used an extra waiter that night, but they still did an amazing job.

The food is always awesome when we go here. The service was extremely poor though. Maybe the waitress was under a lot of pressure! I'd definitely go back hoping it was a one off bad night for her.
