Amigos is terrible. The best thing about Amigos is leaving. The food, the service, the drinks are so below par, that I don’t understand how this is called Mexican food. I would prefer to eat an El Paso meal kit from coles. The guacamole dip is surely straight out of squeeze tube. Is was like slime in my mouth. The tacos resemble something a person who knows nothing about Mexican cuisine would make and it tasted like raw cumin powder. The burrito which more resembled an enchilada was soft, slimy and tasted only of cheap melted cheese and bottled tomatoe paste. The con carne filling was overly salty and had a Indian flavour. To top all of it the staff had no interest in customer service and just worried about the Uber eats drivers coming in. The plate of dip which was covered by a napkin sat on our table for 30 minutes before I had to ask a so called waiter to take it away. There was no drink service and had to walk to the bar. The owners of this restaurant need to understand customer service and what Mexican cuisine really is. But by other reviews saying the food is amazing, I don’t think they give a hoot. And to all the people who write reviews talking about this being the best Mexican food in Melb, go home, look in the mirror and find those taste buds. If you think this place is great, I’m sure you’d eat trash out of a bin.

Great city location. Cocktails were on the expensive side but the food made up for that. Best nachos in Melbourne

The restaurant was amazing and the waiter was also very helpful! The food is perfect for sharing between a table.

The chilli con carne was a tad too salty. The rest of the meal was pleasant. Not huge portions but quite filling like most Mexican cuisines. Cocktails were really nice - very strong. Would def go back.

Food was great, a little expensive. Only issue was when reviewing the bill later on (was a large bill and each person repaid their bit), the prices on the bill were different to that on the online menu to which the order was made (was a pre-order). This resulted in the payer (sadly me) being carrying the difference

Love the ambience, food and drinks. The service is nice too. Only complaint would be that, we were asked (by one of the waiters), how long we were going to be while we were still having our desserts - found it pretty rude.

Fantastic food and really good value! The manager/owner was lovely. A very funny man! Didn't feel rushed to clear the table, even on a busy night. It was a bit noisy but not terrible.

Tasty Mexican food. Worth the money paid for and the quantity of the food was large as well.

It took me a long time to get menus, cutlery, water, and a drink order, approx. half an hour. Food was great though.
