Pirata

Pirata is located on 30th Floor with an open view. The atmosphere, food, wine selection and service were all excellent. It was a bit noisy being Friday night but apart from that it was excellent.

The experience was fantastic. We had 9 people for a birthday dinner. The restaurant prepared a high table for us. Smart choice. Because we moved around a lot to talk with other people in the group. High table made it easier to stand up and walk around. Food was amazing. Authentic Italian food. The service was outstanding. We had our plates changed frequent enough but not too frequent. The water cup is always full. Nice touch: the restaurant waived the service fee because it was a birthday dinner. They also took a Polaroid picture for us and prepared a birthday card with the picture in it. They also gave the birthday boy a small gift at the end. In short, authentic food, outstanding service and thoughtful arrangement. We had a very good time.

We went for brunch on a Saturday. The food was lovely, the service excellent. Salad buffet then various small dishes served to share at the table then choice of main and sharing desserts (x 2). My companions LOVED the meatballs but it was all delish. The food came out quite quickly and that was good at the start as we had skipped breakfast but there is a lot and we asked them to slow it down later on (which they did).

good food and nice environment. The food quality is good and big quantity enough for the brunch. only i think the waitress are too busy.

Because I was by myself, I sat at the counter in front of the prep station. It was difficult to get service from here and, after seeing me struggle, one of the prep chefs flagged down wait staff for me. The anchovy crostini was great, while the tagliatelle as a main was average. I think it would be a lot of fun if dining with a large group.

Good services with nice food. One of the good choices for meeting group friends for drink at the upper floor followed by dinner. Price not cheap but acceptable.

A bit noisy. Food is great...we brought kids with us but they did not have kids plates, forks and knives so my 2 &5 years old kids have to use the big ones. A little bit worry about that...safety reasons...

Great and cozy place, excellent food with reasonable prize. Butcher cut was fantastic, pasta is fresh and made in the kitchen. Definitely will come back.

The table was terrible. Right by the elevator. Music a bit too loud. Food though was excellent. Service was fine - no complaints. Wish we had a better table.

Very lively environment , delicious Butcher Cut, good and friendly service. We are served by a sleek short hair waitress who knew the menu well and given us good recommendations on the food for our dinner.

Overall dining experience lowed due to serving our main dishes while we were still eating one of our starter dishes. All felt very rushed like they wanted us out ASAP. Three of us ordered a different pasta dish for mains but only the Lasagna would be described as a good dish (highly recommend that), the other two pastas were served warm at best and they were very small portions considering the price. All three starter dishes were excellent with the meatballs and Italian sausage the stand out dishes of the night. We were given a free dessert at the end to make up for our displeasure of having mains served so quickly, which rescued a slightly higher overall score.

Quite good at all and will revisit again. Besides, the food are delicious and cocktail is good too. Well done and enjoy the night at there.

Starter buffet was good. Smaller selection than other restaurants though. Main course was good. Dessert didn't quite do it for me. Good atmosphere. Good service.

Great food, excellent service, fantastic location including the roof terrace. Had the beef salad, whole baked fish, octopus salad, anchovy crostini. All cooked and presented perfectly. Great place for groups and couples. Will go again.

It was a nice first experience. However, our table was really not one of the best or even better. But the food was good and the service was excellent, which made up for the table location.

The food was great but we waited 30 minutes for our 9 pm table , They at least tried to compensate by providing a free starter plate while we looked at the menu.

Nice food, nice company & nice ambience. We enjoyed our meal family style. The best dish was the duck pasta, I also enjoyed the lasagna. I will definitely be back there again.

Nice ambience. Good place for friends gathering. Try to book in advance as it's often fully booked. Had Sunday brunch with family and the drinks were good. The food is ok.

Excellent from A to Z. The location, the table the service and most impotant best quality/ratio in HK. Never seen annother one close to beat them...

The dining experience was incredible and would be perfect if we were told that we have to sit at the bar table which is quite squeezed with left side having the dishes passing from the kitchen

Service was perfunctory at best. Wine list is dramatically overpriced. The waiter reviewed the menu and highlighted the specials like he was reciting a canned speech. Drinks service was incredibly slow and the waiter was not at all knowledgeable about the spirit menu. The food was mediocre. Everything was quite bland and required a significant amount of salt. The starters were rushed out and we requested some time between the starters and our entrees -- we told the waiter we would advise him when we wanted him to let the kitchen know to fire our main dishes. We did tell him to let the kitchen know we were ready to have our entrees started and then served and our mains appeared within two minutes -- lukewarm. Clearly they had been started before we asked and were being kept under the warming lamp. Again, incredibly bland. The restaurant itself does not provide a pleasant dining experience -- acoustics are dreadful and it is unbearably loud. Overall a very disappointing experience, which I am unlikely to ever repeat.

Good food, nice environment, friendly people, it was a happy week end dining experience We will be happy to dine in PIRATA again. We enjoyed a drink on the rooftop after the meal

Great food & services. Brunch was very value for money with the variety and amount of food offered. My third visit to the restaurant and still liked it a lot. Will definitely go back again.

The prosecco served was very good, crisp and flavourful. The food( especially the meat balls) marvelous! The restuarant was full so it was a little noisy, but it was a fun group, so it was a most enjoyable experience. Definitely coming back

The food was excellent. The only thing that brought it down is that we had to wait for an hour to sit down even though our reservation was at 9pm.

Took one of my clients to Pirata for a business lunch mid week, the food was great and the service was too. I will definitely be back again!

The service is good, the food is delicious but too bad that we have to return the table in 2 hours due to Friday night.

Amazing food presented well, beautiful decor and well set out design, relaxed atmosphere for a chilled out brunch or a tipsy afternoon, attentive staff who are very friendly

Excellent meal at Pirata. Pirata has probably one of the best Italian menus in Hong Kong but I had stopped bringing business dinners there because of the unbelievable inattentive service. In the past I have sat a table with a client and waited 15 minutes for a drink order to be taken and then waited another 15 before I finally just walked to the bar to get it myself. Dined there last night for the first time in a few months. Excellent food (as always) and very attentive but not intrusive service by the staff. When they are on their game, this is one of the nicest dinning experiences in HK. Will return again soon and hope to have another great experience. Bravo!

The food is great, and waiters are very nice, but it is the third time I go and thay made me wait again... First time I waited more than an hour, second time (I guess because it was early, at 7.15) only 10 minutes, but last time 45 minutes again. We ended up having dinner very late. If they managed timing properly, I would give them 4 to 5 stars.

Great food and atmosphere. The lasagne was exceptional as well as the anchovies and bruschetta. Reasonable price but a little tight in space with the 3 of us !

Food & service was much worse than usual due to Valentine's day. It's understandably busier but if you're charging more due to the holiday, then a drop in quality is not justified.

We LOVED Pirata! Great food, great Atmosphere, generous portions! Waiters are considerate, no surprises on the bill, and did I mentioned great food? Only downside is, drinks are excluded.

A great experience overall, just don t like the idea that, we are reminded that we need to return the table in 2 hours. ( though finally they didn't bust us out.. still, it tarnishes the whole experience) We are talking about a dinner for four with a bill more than 2,000 hk$.

Restaurant decor and location are great. Food was good and value for money. Perhaps lost a point on the sometimes erratic service. All in all though great experience. Will be back!

Generous portion size, good value with food and wine. But could use real zucchini instead of jade melon in the pasta dish because made me question if the shrimp were really from Sicily.

The location is quiet for a long lunch, the location is convenient. The waiter is friendly and served in detail. Can't wait for next time in happy hour.

Very good. I took the tasting menu and the portion of food for two was really big (good for three people indeed). The food was yummy too.
